maths

                             In class i have been doing lots of maths as in the site Mrs Akkerman 

                            

                               i feel that i have improved in lots of things like multi and division.

                             When i make a mistake i always know or work out the proper anser

l am learning how to do algorithms

I'v always thought that I could do algorithms but Mrs Akkerman said that I was doing them the wrong way all this time and now i am moving on to subtracting them here is my prove that i can do them

     

                                     READING    GOAL                                   

Reading is my absolute favorite subject (after Art of course), I read for adleast two hours a day. I read at the kitchen table at breakfast, which drives my mother nuts, I read after school and also in bed! I believe that this much reading has helped me majorly with all of my school subjects.

I feel that I have passed my term three goal and will with Mrs Akkerman make another goal, as I'm not sure what my next goal should be?

At school  our reading focus is Carrie's War, By Nina Barden and so far I am enjoying the book and can easily answer all the questions.

I think my reading is progressing nicely.

            

                           REJECTED BABY  NAMES                              Have you a rather common or popular name? Well you should be grateful! Some Parents have gone a little over board in trying to give their children a unique and original name. But this has led to government banning some names in NZ here is some of them: Lucifer, Constable, special, Queen, Bishop, Mayor, Major, Royal-Rule, 3rd and the list goes on. Some Parents even tried to call their child "/". 

The government is also banning any name that references the Royal family, Christ or Swear words and any name with Rank.

Are parents being selfish and in some cases unkind? And should they think about what it would sound and feel like for these children when they are grown-up and still living with a name that causes them distress.

              Writing is one subject that i love and feel really passionate and good about how 

               

               its going .My favourite type of writing is qiuck writes like the one about camp that i 

            

             did  ,i also love persuading and my FAVOURITE type is speech writing .I feel 

              that im progressing  in passing  my goal  because it is becoming more easy every 

           time i write a piece of writing.

               Most people have braces on for  1 2 3  years  ,imangine having your braces on 

for 11 years a 22 year old man in oregan left his in  for 11 years resaulting VERY VERY strait and rotten teeth.

Most people have there braces on for two to three years.  But imagine having your braces left on for 11 years!

A 22-year-old Oregon man had his left on for 11 years,  resulting in straight but rotten teeth.

Devin Bost claims he suffered serious tooth decay and disease and is now suing his orthodontist.

Some of Bost’s teeth will need to be replaced with implants, but others cannot be because they have rotted to the jaw.

Pua cast his line from the dinghy and it snagged straight away. Uncle tried to help him reel it in but it would not budge. Suddenly the skies turned grey, the sea got choppy and a giant pirate ship bubbled up from the depths of the ocean, dwarfing Uncles dinghy.
The ship looked abandoned so Pua and Uncle climb up the muscle and barnacle rope. It was slippery but they got to the top.When they stepped onto the deck they gasped at what they saw and slowly backed away because standing in front of them was a sight so dreadful Pua wanted to vomit up his fish and chips. It was a male they think, the ugliest one they had ever seen. His face was covered in muscles and thick yellow goo. He had a seashell stuck in his left eye, he also had a beard made of thick green seaweed and you could sometimes get a glimpse of seafood, like sea slugs and the heads of turtles and fish. And when he opened his mouth he had no tongue but a black fishtale that flopped around when he talked. His face was dripping with water and the skin you could see was a pale yellow with blotches of brown. He was wearing a cloak with a fold rim around the collar and black boots made of money. On his head was some lonely strands of hair.
"I am Captain Clams Bottom", he croaked. His voice sounded like a million pins scrapping on a blackboard with a background sound of gurgling water, "And this is my crew,"
He pointed behind Pua and Uncle, they turned around and big sacks were dumped on their heads. Pua was carried into a room that smelt like wet dog and fish. "Uncle, Uncle", Pua cried but he could not hear him. Pua grabbed his pocket knife and cut a hole through the sack and slid out, he was in a room with only two things in it, a chair with a lone doll sitting on it. She was wearing a white frock, she had a ponytail and her hair was matted and wet. She was staring at Pua in a peculiar way and said," I know how to get out of this dreadful boat", her voice was like an angel, "follow me,". So Pua followed her through leaky passages filled with pictures of Captain Clams bottom even ones of Uncle.
 They walk past a room and they saw Uncle with Clams Bottom and they seemed to know each other and to even be friends, so Pua hurried past with his head down. Then they got to a trapdoor and jumped into the water the doll whose name is pearl called a see creature a big amazing whale and  caught  a ride back
 to the village and live happily together

over the past week we have been learning about water here is  what ive learnt

 that their is one percent of water in the world that is  drinkable

and the other 2 percent is frozen and a drop of water is made of 2 molecules and 1 oxegen.

I love writing it is so amazing

i used to be one off those kids how would draw all  over the sides off my book i would end up having more writing on my sides than on my page.but now i love writing and i will always try my best.

MATHS

lately me and my class have been doing looooooooooooooooootttttts of math problems

in class for example today we did a name decimal problem when we had to add up how 

much consonants and vowels we had in our name it was hard at first but when Mrs Akkerman 

explaned it to me i got it.overall i have improved so much.i used to hate math but now i love it.
